it's a theme that's gonna be part of the story, not of the picture :) if you are judging the story for a single picture, it doesn't work hahaha
It does feel weird, but I do have to tag the entirety of the comic like this haha even though it starts cute and peaceful.

Hard to imagine this was made with so few colors. The bottom-left avocado has a bit of a perspective hiccup, but everything else is adorable
