Looks good. I don't think the current angle works for a cover, however, considering all that empty space up top. I'd suggest shifting the perspective a bit lower, maybe so that the focus is on one of the miners.

It just so happens I love nothing more than a good hand-drawn cartoon. This guy's whole design (and smoking habit) were even based off the characters in old films. It makes me happy to see his bastard grin put right where it belongs.
